Euxyl K-400 is a biocide used in cosmetics, cleaning solutions, glues, paints, and metalworking fluids. Sensitization reported in masseurs, a beautician, an offset printer, machinists, and a hospital cleaner; [Kanerva, p. 1795]

Comments

One of the two chemical components of Euxyl K400, the mixture contains 20% 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane and 80% phenoxyethanol. The former chemical is thought to be the skin sensitizer in the biocide, Euxyl K400. [Kanerva, p. 1795] A skin and eye irritant; May cause skin sensitization; [ICSC] Danger of skin sensitization; [MAK]
